This 50 Ohm coax cable has a solid bare copper center conductor and aluminum taped outer conductor. Low loss is achieved through use of the 90 percent braided shield. A foam polyethylene serves as insulation. With higher flexibility, the LMR-240 cable has a bending radius of 3/4 inch.
The LMR transmission line can be used in almost any application where handing characteristics, improved shielding, and low loss is required. The LMR-240 cable is similar in size to RG8X cables.
The Times LMR-240 plenum-rated low loss coaxial cable is available in bulk and is priced per foot.
This cable requires Times Microwave TC-240 series connectors. The new LLPX has an extended temp range (-40C to 125C), higher power handling, advanced chemical and UV resistance, and compliance of a red jacket for public safety and in-building applications
